YEAR ROUND
WILD GOOSE STATE TRAIL
Hike and bike on more than 30 miles along the edge of the Horicon Marsh. ATV and Snowmobile activity is allowed from December 1 thru March 31 only when special conditions exist and the trails are declared open. The trail crosses State Highway 49 approximately 2 miles east of Waupun.  

HORICON NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE (HNWR) VISITOR CENTER
Open 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday (year-round) and weekends in the fall. Office/visitor center is closed Federal holidays. The visitor center is located on the east side of the Horicon Marsh, 6 miles east of Waupun on State Highway 49 and 3.5 miles south on County Road Z. Information fws.gov/midwest/horicon

HORICON NWR TERNPIKE AUTO TOUR - Road conditions permitting
Horicon National Wildlife Refuge TernPike Auto Tour is 2.7 miles long. The route is open to vehicles when conditions permit. Located off State Highway 49 two miles east of Waupun. Includes interpretive pull-offs and easy access to Egret Trail and floating boardwalk. Open daily, daylight hours only for self-guided nature exploration and recreation.

SEASONAL
BRAT FRY - March - October
Enjoy Wisconsin's finest bratwurst and hamburgers prepared on the grill on Saturdays from 10 AM - 6 PM at the Piggly Wiggly parking lot on Gateway Drive.

MARSH HAVEN NATURE CENTER - April - November
Open Monday thru Friday: Noon to 4:00 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  The Visitor Center/Main Building contains beautiful wildlife displays and historic exhibits depicting wildlife and their habitat in and around the Horicon Marsh.  Outside enjoy nature trails and a tower overlooking the marsh.  Located 2 miles east of Waupun on State Highway 49.  Admission: $2.00/adult, $1.00/child.  For more information visit: marshhaven.com

HORICON NWR OLD MARSH ROAD OPEN - Sat. & Sun. - June, July, Aug.
The old road across the northern part of the refuge is open for hiking and bicycling during daylight hours. Access from the TernPike Auto Tour east of Waupun on State Highway 49 or Point Road off of County Z on the east side of the refuge.
