The City Clerk/Treasurer/Human Resources performs the duties as set forth by Wisconsin Statutes.

Duties & Responsibilities

Clerk:

  • Publicizing, filing, indexing, and safekeeping of all records and proceedings of the Common Council
  • Responsible for all election duties as required by the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
  • Keeps and maintains all election records and is responsible for all property used in connection with the holding of elections.
  • Publishes all required legal notices.
  • Responsible for all required filings including with the Department of Revenue
  • Files and preserves all contracts, bonds, oaths of office and other documents not required to be filed elsewhere.
  • Issues all licenses required by ordinance or state statute.
  • Custodian of the official city seal

Treasurer:

  • Responsible for all collections and payments to the City
  • Prepares the tax roll and tax notices as required by Wisconsin Statutes.
  • Responsible for the collection of Real and Personal Property Tax payments

Human Resources:

  • Responsible for personnel functions
  • Process of all payroll and benefits
  • Responsible for all filings as well as those required by the Department of Revenue
