Waupun Opportunities

ONE Waupun - A group of dedicated volunteers looking to organizing the ongoing efforts to seniors in need with those that are able to donate some of their time to help with things like house cleaning, moving/downsizing, lawn care/snow removal, and home repairs.  Men and women volunteers are needed!

Waupun Historical Society - We are a small team of volunteers dedicated to preserving Waupun's past by telling the story of how our little town connects to the state, the county, and impacts the world.

Waupun Memorial Hospital - Waupun Memorial Hospital have the perfect opportunity to volunteer and to help individuals in Waupun receive meals that they would otherwise have difficulties securing. In less than an hour, Mobile Meal volunteers can make a big difference in someone’s life.  Volunteer schedules are based on availability.  Apply online at agnesian.com/volunteer or call (920)745-3670  to learn more. 

Waupun Public Library - The Friends of Waupun Library is a non-profit group that assists the Waupun Public Library in several ways.  Over the years, they have purchased materials for and supported programs offered by the library.  The group earns funds primarily from book sales held on the second Monday of every month.  

Waupun Senior Center - Volunteer times are 3  hours a day,  10:00am - 1:00pm, on a weekly schedule.  Volunteers receive free transportation and lunch on the day that they are scheduled to volunteer.  Front desk duties include: Answering phone, taking messages, making phone calls, monitoring daily attendance, monitoring lunch registrations and payments, and assisting with mobile meal packaging.  Kitchen duties include: Practicing safe food handling procedures, checking food temperatures, packaging mobile meals, serving lunch, dishes and general cleaning.

Aging & Disabilities Resource Center - The following is a list of all volunteer opportunities offered: ADRC Ambassador, Telephone Friend, Volunteer Guardian, Meals on Wheels Driver, Office Assitant Volunteer, Senior Dining Assistant Volunteer, SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program) Volunteer, Medicare Minute Volunteer, Volunteer Activities Coordinator, Volunteer Driver, Share the Care Volunteer, Class Facilitator/Assistant, Memory & Memory Volunteer, & Caring Closet Volunteer.

Horicon Marsh - Friends of Horicon Marsh Education & Visitor Center could not be successful without our volunteers!  Make a difference and be a part of a greater mission.  There are many different opportunities to volunteer, pick the one or ones that best suit you - Visitor Services Volunteer, Gift Shop Volunteer, Hospitality/Special Events, Trails/Habitat Management, Maintenance, Volunteer Naturalist, Office Assistance, or Volunteer Coordination Assistance.

ADVOCP - Offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities that allow individuals to make a difference in their community.

Department of Social Services - Support Service Programs are provided by dedicated volunteers through the Department of Social Services.  Volunteer opportunities available in mentoring, supervised visitation, transportation, foster care, and tutoring.  Volunteer support services have proven to be beneficial to all parties involved, offering a four-way win between: the recipient of services, the volunteer, the Department of Social Services, and the community.
