9/11 Never Forget Exhibit

9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit

The Waupun Fire Department, in partnership with Waupun Festivals, is excited to announce the 9/11 NEVER FORGET MOBILE EXHIBIT will be coming to Celebrate Waupun on June 29 and June 30, 2019.

September 11, 2001. The events of that day have forever impacted our nation. Thousands of innocent citizens perished when the towers collapsed. 343 firefighters with FDNY and 60 police officers with the Port Authority, New Jersey and New York Police Departments lost their lives during the initial response. It is important that we never forget the sacrifices so many people made and continue to make in protecting our nation. The 9/11 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit will allow folks to hear firsthand from FDNY firefighters of how events unfolded in front of them. The high-tech, 53-foot trailer, which transforms into an 1,100 square foot exhibit, provides folks an opportunity to explore artifacts from the towers and listen to documentary videos and recordings of first responder radio transmissions.

We expect a great deal of interest in this exhibit as this is only its second visit to the State of Wisconsin since it was created in 2013. For more information, visit:  https://tunnel2towers.org/our-programs/911-never-forget-mobile-exhibit/.
