Wage

Starting pay for a patrol officer is currently $28.55/hr, with top pay of $38.16/hr.  (Under current contract.)

Starting pay for Lieutenant is currently $41.01/hr, with a top pay of $46.94/hr

Shifts

Officers work a rotating 6 days on and 3 days off schedule (1950 hours annually).

7:00am to 3:00 p.m. - Day shift
3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. - Afternoons
11:00 p.m. to 7:00 am - Night shift

Lieutenant of Investigations work 5 days on with weekends/holidays off (2080 hours annually).

The Waupun Police Department no longer requires applicants to be eligible for Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Board Certification and is willing to sponsor motivated individuals who meets the other requirements.
