Bulk Pick-Up

Monday, April 1, 2024 (All day) to Wednesday, April 3, 2024 (All day)

Bulk Pick-up is a service that is provided to all City of Waupun residential properties (4 unit and under) in the spring and fall of each year. The Spring Bulk Pick is scheduled for April 1, 2, 3, 2024. Bulk Items will be picked up on your normal trash pick‐up date. Items may not be placed at the curb prior to 24 hours of you scheduled pick-up date.  If items do not meet bulk pick-up guidelines a door-hanger will be hung the day of pick-up.  A picture will be taken of the remaining items, and you will have 3 days to remove them.  Please remember bulk service is for large items that do not fit in a garbage or recycling container.  

Bulk Waste Guidelines
The following items are identified as bulk waste
and will be accepted at the City Garage
Excluded Items:
Furniture Any items that will fit in your garbage or recycling cart.
Rolled carpeting (4 ft maximum length)

Filled garbage bags

Cabinets / Countertops

Cardboard boxes  (may be brought to Aronson's Recycling)

Other recyclable materials (break down and put in recycle container)

Mattresses/bed springs Tires
Non-metal doors Batteries
Wood windows Fluorescent lights/bulbs
Wooden playground equipment Electronic items banned from landfills
  Major appliances, including air conditioners,
clothes washers and dryers, dishwashers,
refrigerators, freezers, stoves, ovens, dehumidifiers,
furnaces, boilers, water heaters, microwave ovens, etc.
  Construction materials that will fit in a cart (shingles, wood cut in short lengths, etc) / pallets (can be brought to the City Garage on Bulk Pick-Up Days only)

GFL provides 3—30 yard containers for wood related items only (such as construction lumber, loose lumber) during the bulk pick-up.

The dumpsters will be located at the Department of Public Works Garage, at 903 N. Madison St. The days and hours of operation will be Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8am—3 pm during the bulk pickup days only. 

Residents will be required to show proof of residency.

Materials other than wood related items, will not be accepted and will be turned away.
